Let's Take a
Vacation

Your assignment is to plan a one-week (7 days) vacation for four. You may go anywhere you wish; however, you do have a budget of $4,000.00.  You may not go on cruises or any other all inclusive trip. You may not include shopping trips or discretionary funds.  You must spend at least $3,750.
Directions:

You will create a report with a description of your itinerary (day by day description and cost) that will include the following:

Type of Transportation:

You may use any form of transportation you wish. If you drive you must include the price of gas. Your vehicle gets 22 miles per gallon. Gasoline costs $1.80. If you drive, you must print out directions and mileage to your destination (MapQuest is a good site for this information).

If you fly, print out the price of your tickets and include parking costs at the airport. Also, include the cost for a rental car, taxis and/or buses.

Accommodations:

You must include hotel(s), etc., of your choice and the price per night. If you drive and spend the night on the road, include this hotel cost also.  Print out hotel information.

Meals:

You must include the cost of meals and tips for breakfast, lunch and dinner each day. If cooking, include grocery list and cost.

Entertainment:

You must sightsee at least two days. List the places of interest you want to visit and the cost of admission if any. Print out information about these attractions.
