1. Your teacher will assign each student to a team.

2. Each team will focus on each of the following:
plant life
animal life
climate/people
land forms
survival kit

Each member of the team should sign up for the kind of animal, plant, climate, & landform you would like to create to ensure that you have a variety in your island simulator.

Your team as a whole will combine your information and projects to create the whole island simulator.  Each member of your team will need to research 1 plant, animal, person & climate, land form, & survival kit.  Type what you find in Word.  Then from all of your findings, your group will choose 1 of each of the above to make for the island simulator.

3. At the end of the four weeks, groups of contestants will come through the island simulator and your training session. Be prepared to teach them all that you have learned about the island of Australia and help prepare them for the challenges that lay ahead of them.

4. After you have created your island, your team needs to create a weekly challenge that will enable you to earn bonus points. Create a PowerPoint presentation explaining your challenge. As a class we will vote on the two most popular challenges and then compete for the extra bonus points.
5. Below is a list of resources that can be used to help you with your research.
