On Wednesday, December 7th Dora Student Council invited troopers from the Missouri State Highway Patrol to allow our 7th -12th-grade students to hear a short presentation about drinking and driving and impaired driving. Students then had a chance to participate in activities, including operating a pedal-powered car and completing a sobriety test obstacle course while wearing the “drunk” goggles.
Sergeant Eddie Young and Corporal Daniel Johnson discussed some essential information with our students about the dangers and impacts of drinking and driving or driving distracted. His keywords were… Wear your seatbelt, pay attention and avoid distractions.
